Start a new tradition... a class pizza party!

Join us this fall as we celebrate traditions at Aurelio's. We've created a special essay contest, complete with lesson plans, to give your 4th Graders the opportunity to share their personal family traditions. The contest is simple to participate in and implement, complete with prizes for your students, their families and even for you.

Here's how it works:

  1. Register your 4th Grade class for our essay contest.
  2. At the beginning of the school year, assign your students to interview their parents. They should ask them about all the traditions their family has established over the years - whether those include taking family bike rides or making time for Sunday picnics.
  3. Your students will then write a 300-word essay describing those traditions. To easily integrate the contest into your classroom curriculum, you'll have access to a downloadable lesson plan - based on common core standards and including activities to help your students with pre-writing, writing and editing.
  4. Once all essays have been written, you'll narrow the selections down to the top 3 and submit them here. Keep in mind: your class is only competing within your district, so this greatly increases your chances of winning.
